Calciworms are the dried larvae of the Black Soldier Fly and are a popular alternative to live foods. They can be fed straight from the box or soaked in water before feeding to soften them. This can be particularly beneficial during the breeding season when adult birds are feeding their young and require additional protein-rich foods.
