Sunflower hearts present a high-energy, high-protein food source which is rich in the essential oils garden birds need to keep their feathers healthy and their beaks sharp; but they are often messy, leaving husks behind when the birds are done, and can germinate if dropped into fertile earth.
In our experience we have found Sunflower Hearts to be the single best bird food, loved and favoured over other foods by a wide range of birds. Te secret of their success is that sunflower heart seeds are a convenient size for most birds, birds don't have to use valuable time and energy removing a husk and they have one of the highest calorie to size ratios and are filled with essential oils. Definitely the birds equivalent of fast food!! In addition the ease to eat them makes them a favourite of softbills such as Blackbirds, Robins and Song Thrushes.

For many bird lovers, the waste, mess or growth left behind by birds on the bird table, in feeders or below feeders is one of the few drawbacks of feeding birds. The No Grow No Waste Seed Blend is husk free and specially cut to prevent germination, providing a carefully balanced mix of sunflower hearts, maize, oats, suet, peanut pieces and more, suitable for hanging feeder, bird table, or the ground.
Our No Grow No Waste Seed Blend attracts many birds who love to feed from the mix including Wrens, Bullfinches, Chaffinches, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Siskins and Thrushes.
Ingredients: Petrified Wheat, Cut Maize, Kibbled Sunflower Hearts, Flaked Oats, Kibbled Peanuts, Conservation Grade Pinhead Oats, Pink Suet Pellets and Rapeseed Oil.
Our 12.55kg sizes and above now go out in a recycleable paper bag. The high oil content in this seed mix can cause discolouring on the side of the paper bag. To ensure the seed stays in the best condition it is best stored in an air tight container.
