25kg Mixed Poultry Grit for Chickens & Poultry
Keep your poultry fit and thriving with 25kg Mixed Poultry Grit. Mixed grit is an essential part of a Chicken's diet as they require a high level of calcium. Egg shells will become thin and brittle without a sufficient level of calcium. Even if the shells are healthy, extra grit in the diet will not harm the birds.
The 25kg Mixed Poultry Grit consists of both soluble and insoluble grit mixed in suitable proportions.
- Soluble soft calcium grit which is absorbed into the bird's system, ensuring good health and strong shelled eggs, also contributing to the overall well-being of the bird.
- Insoluble hard grit has a grinding action in the gizzard, aiding the grinding up of food and ensuring the bird is able to digest food completely. Hens do not have any teeth so this is especially important.
Please note, grit is best fed on the ground or from a poultry grit feeder. We recommend storing grit in a dry and cool place.
All graded 4-7mm.
