A little note for big-bag orders

Our boxes can weigh up to 30kg, and the courier driver isn't able to bring them inside or move them around your property. If you'd struggle to lift the full box, here are a few easy ways round it:

  • Open the box on the doorstep and bring the contents in a bag at a time.
  • Or if you ordered larger bags, decant the bag contents into a storage container.
  • Ask a neighbour or family member to lend a hand on delivery day.
  • Use the DPD app to set a 'leave safe' spot near where you store the food.
  • If smaller bags suit you better, we sell those too — a touch more per kg, but a lot easier to manage.

Better for the birds you love

We ship in plain cardboard that goes straight in your recycling, and keep plastic to a minimum.

Choose how your order arrives

Most popular

Leave Safe

Selecting 'Leave Safe' tells the driver to leave your parcel in a safe place rather than handing it over.

If you've previously left instructions with DPD they'll be used by default — this isn't unique to us, so check the DPD app to see what you have set.

If you haven't nominated a safe place, the driver will use their judgement. If nowhere looks suitable, they may take it back to depot or leave it with a neighbour.

By choosing leave safe, you accept responsibility for the parcel once it's left at your property.
Hand to you

Signed For

With 'Signed For', the driver will try to hand the parcel to you in person.

If you're out, the confirmation emails DPD send (the day before and the morning of delivery) include links to redirect or reschedule.

If you've saved a leave-safe preference in the DPD app, a signed-for delivery can still be left safe when nobody's home.

Frequently asked questions

Before you order

How quickly will my order be with me?

As long as you live on the GB mainland and aren't in a hard-to-reach postcode, your order will be with you the next working day. Here's the breakdown:

Monday — order before 1pm for Tuesday, after for Wednesday
Tuesday — order before 1pm for Wednesday, after for Thursday
Wednesday — order before 1pm for Thursday, after for Friday
Thursday — order before 1pm for Friday, after for Saturday
Friday — order before 1pm for Saturday, after for Monday
Saturday — order before 1pm for Monday
Sunday — order before 1pm for Monday, after for Tuesday

DPD have a 99.8% success rate, though the odd factor outside their control can cause a small delay. Allow a touch longer around bank holidays.

Can I buy from you while I'm not in the UK?

Yes — we can't deliver outside the UK but you can buy a gift for someone in the UK, or stock up for when you're back from your travels.

If it's a gift, use the recipient's address as the delivery address. At the payment stage, tick the box to enter a different billing address (usually near the card payment fields). The country field may still say United Kingdom — that's fine to ignore. Your bank might run a couple of extra checks to make sure the transaction is genuine.

Do you deliver to business addresses?

Yes, with a couple of things to bear in mind. The delivery company may deliver outside standard working hours, so make sure someone will be available. If the parcel comes back to us after two failed delivery attempts, a £7.50 charge applies.

Out-of-area surcharges (orders over 29kg)

If you live in a hard-to-reach location and your order goes over 29kg, the additional-box charges in the right-hand column of the delivery table apply.

The easiest way to check the exact total: add your items to your basket and look at the charge once you've entered your address at checkout.

Heavy-order items are excluded from delivery offers (unless we say otherwise) due to the complexity of shipping them.

Your delivery

How do I control my delivery with DPD or Evri?

DPD — you can fully control your delivery either online via their portal, or via their app (Google Play or App Store).

Evri — manage your delivery online or via their app (Google Play or App Store).

Through both, you can: specify which neighbours to deliver to (and which to avoid), set a leave-safe location, redirect to a participating local shop, take a photo of your house to help the driver find it, and mark a preferred drop spot with a photo.

The app is optional — both couriers email you the day before and the morning of delivery, with links to make changes. Downloading the app means your default preferences are saved for next time.

Worth checking your delivery settings before you order, as the courier may default to your last chosen safe place.

Click here for a guide on using the DPD app to set your preferences

Option 1: Set default delivery preferences

Set your default options in the DPD app once, and the driver will follow them each time. Applies to all DPD deliveries, not just ours.

Option 2: Deliver to (or avoid) certain neighbours

Choose which neighbours the driver can try, and which to skip.

Option 3: Leave-safe options with photos

Pick a safe spot and add a photo to help the driver find it.

Option 4: Redirect to a pickup shop

Send the parcel to a participating local shop instead — the app lists which shops are eligible.

Option 5: Set instructions per delivery attempt

Specify what the driver should do on the first, second and subsequent attempts.

Review and save

Confirm your preferences. Set them once and you won't need to do it again.

Download the DPD app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. These options apply to all DPD deliveries, from us and any other sender.

Delivery times and bank holidays

DPD have a 99.8% success rate — once in a while something outside our control causes a small delay (e.g. bad traffic).

We don't work on bank holidays, and neither do the couriers' drivers. Please allow an extra 1-2 days around them.

Do you offer contact-free deliveries?

Yes — all our delivery options are contact-free as standard. Most drivers will leave the parcel on your doorstep; if they don't, just ask.

I need more time to answer the door (accessibility options)

If you select 'leave safe', most drivers will leave the parcel on your property — no signature needed, so no need to rush.

If you've gone for 'Signed For' and need more time to reach the door, DPD have a feature called 'More Time Needed' in their app. Open the app when the delivery shows up and select the relevant option. You can also specify the exact drop spot using what3words via the DPD app.

If something goes wrong

Order cancellations

As soon as we receive your order, we start packing it - usually within an hour to be able to get it to you the next day.

If you change your mind, please contact us as soon as possible (it's best to call us) and we'll try and stop it before it goes out. If we can't then there may be a small charge.

Missed deliveries

The courier will make up to two delivery attempts before returning your parcel to us. If that happens, a £7.50 charge applies for the failed delivery. The courier apps have plenty of leave-safe and diversion options if you can't be in for a signed-for delivery.

Delivery phishing & scam emails

If you receive an email asking for payment for a parcel delivery, or something feels off, double-check with the courier before handing over any money — it's likely a scam.

When in doubt, go directly to the courier's website and enter your tracking number rather than clicking links in the email. You can find more on this on the DPD website.

I haven't had an email about my delivery

Provided we have a correct email address for you, we'll let you know when your order leaves our warehouse.

On delivery day you'll get an email (and an SMS if you've given us a valid mobile number), with links to control your delivery directly with the courier — the quickest way to redirect or reschedule.
