Ice Free uses a combination of plant extracts which are not harmful to wild birds or other wildlife to prevent water freezing.
This product is effective to -4 degrees Celsius and will not prevent water freezing if temperatures drop below this. Prolonged low night time temperatures will make this product less effective as water temperatures don't rise in alignment with air temperatures the water temperature.
This means that when other sources of water are frozen over, garden birds will still have access to fresh drinking water.
The product does not contain glycerol or glycol.
