Cosy roosting spaces such as this can be a life saver for small birds during harsh weather conditions. This provides them with a shelter where they can consentrate their engry stores on trying to keep warm and as a result can be crucial to survial.
Similar to our original small roost pocket, the Giant Nest Pocket has a robust inner frame that supports the brushwood covering. We have also designed fixing loops into the design so that the nester can be easily tied to suitable foliage or vegetation.
This giant roost nest pocket can also be used by small nesting species such as Blue Tits and other small birds in spring time. The round entrance has a small rattan door step which serves both as a landing platform and a porch to cast rain away from the entrance hole.
