A note on Juvenile Squirrels and Juvenile Large Birds

This feeder is designed to deter adult squirrels and larger birds, but young squirrels and birds, such as magpies, crows, and woodpeckers, may still access the food due to their smaller size, agility, or longer beaks. You may notice increased activity during the spring and summer months, when young squirrels are more active. While we cannot guarantee the feeder will prevent access by juveniles, sprinkling a small amount of chilli flakes into the nuts or seeds may help deter squirrels without affecting the birds, which are not sensitive to chilli.

**A note on Feedguard™

Bird feeders are frequently visited by multiple birds, making hygiene essential for responsible feeding.  This feeder features Biomaster Antimicrobial Protection, which helps inhibit bacterial growth on treated surfaces, providing ongoing protection between regular cleaning sessions. This supports a cleaner feeding environment and easier everyday hygiene, but does not replace the need for regular cleaning.
