The Squirrel Proof/Cage Seed Feeder from Tom Chambers is a great way to feed your feathered friends their favourite seed type or mix without having to worry about greedy squirrels coming to pinch the food.

With a heavy duty cage surrounding the internal seed tube, this feeder will keep squirrels away as they cannot reach the bird food inside, however smaller wild birds such as; robins, blue tits, collared doves, goldfinches and blackbirds can still fit through the gaps in the squirrel guard and feed from one of the two feeder ports that come with this feeder.

This Tom Chambers seed feeder is easy to fill and clean by simply unclipping the base of this feeder to remove the cage - allowing access to the strong plastic feeder in the centre.

Dimensions: Height: 26 x Diameter: 18 cm.

*A Note On Squirrel Protection

This feeder can only protect against adult grey squirrels and large adult birds. Some birds may not fit through the bars but could manage to get their head into the feeder.  Adolescent young squirrels could squeeze into the feeder due to their flexibility. The young squirrels look very similar to adults. This is a temporary seasonal issue.

You may also find that adolescent jackdaws, crows and pigeons may find their way in. The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.

A deterrent of chilli flakes mixed in with the nuts or seeds will deter the squirrels whilst being completely harmless to the birds.
