The ingeniously designed Swissinno bird feeder prevents rat and squirrel infestations by keeping the food accessible only to birds. Food that falls to the ground can attract rats and mice, providing them with a reliable food source and increasing their population. However, this feeder's features address that issue.
The catcher tray catches any spilled food, preventing it from reaching the ground and becoming a rat and mouse attractant. The feeder tray also doubles as a feeding platform, allowing various bird species to enjoy the contents. Drainage holes in the tray prevent waterlogging, and the entire structure shelters the food from rain.
When installed properly, the feeder's design prevents rats from accessing the contents. The plastic-coated steel hanger requires no assembly - simply hang it up. For best results, position the feeder away from any surfaces a rodent could use as a jumping platform, such as a fence.
This feeder accomodates fat / suet balls.
