The ingeniously designed Swissinno bird feeder prevents rodent and squirrel infestations by keeping the food accessible only to birds. Birdseed that falls to the ground can attract rats and mice, providing them with a reliable food source and increasing their population. However, this feeder's features address that issue.
The seed catcher tray catches any spilled food, preventing it from reaching the ground and becoming a rodent attractant. The feeder tray also doubles as a feeding platform, allowing various bird species to enjoy the contents. Drainage holes in the tray prevent waterlogging, and the entire structure shelters the food from rain.
When installed properly, the feeder's design prevents rodens from accessing the contents. The plastic-coated steel hanger requires no assembly - simply hang it up. For best results, position the feeder away from any surfaces a rodent could use as a jumping platform, such as a fence.
This feeder accommodates a variety of food types, including sunflower seeds and hearts, seed mixes, and peanut granules.
Please see images for instructions, we strongly recommend emptying the spill tray every day. If the tray is not emptied the rodents may chew through the base.
