Bird Foods are not fit for human consumption.

Love Garden Birds Value Whole and Splits are the best value peanuts online. Like all Love Garden Bird’s  Peanut lines they have been aflatoxin tested to ensure they are completely safe for wild birds.

The Peanuts are 80/90 size (number of Peanuts that fit in the average hand). We source our peanuts from all over the world to ensure that we bring you the best at the best prices. The climate condition at the growing location can have a large influence on the look of the peanuts. Please note that the appearance of the peanuts may differ slightly to those in the photos.

In each bag you will find a mixture of whole peanuts and peanut halves “splits”. The advantage to the birds is that each peanut has all the same nutritional benefits but birds have more choice to select the right size nut for them.

Although not a native food of the UK, most birds will happily eat peanuts due to their high fat and protein content and large levels of natural oils. Up to 45% of the peanut is made up of fat, 24% is protein and each peanut contains Vitamin A, E, Zinc, Iron, Potassium and Phosphorus meaning each peanut is hugely beneficial.

As a result of the high fat content within our peanut products we have had to revert to shipping these in plastic bags.

Available in 2kg, 5kg, 12.55kg, 15kg (3 x 5kg) and 25.1kg (2 x 12.55kg) sizes.

Peanuts are best fed from a specialist Peanut Feeder.

Please follow the following storage instructions, to ensure your bird food doesn’t go mouldy –

  • Bird Peanuts should be stored in a cool and dry place, in an air tight container (ideally plastic or metal).  Away from direct sunlight.
  • The ideal place for storing your peanuts and other bird food is in a garage or a dark shed, be careful that the shed doesn’t get too warm in the summer as this will significantly reduce the life of the food.
  • You can see our storage container range here

Being a natural product, the exact size and colour of the peanuts can vary based on country of origin and climate conditions during the growing and drying process. We try and ensure the image reflects the peanuts you receive as much as possible. You may find a small percentage of peanuts have a black or dark appearance, this is as a result of the drying process and is not anything to worry about.

The percentage of splits and whole peanuts within each bag can vary from nearly all splits to nearly all whole peanuts depending on the seasonality and harvest.
