Wildlife World Solitary Bee Hive

A Solitary Bee Habitat constructed from durable FSC timber to attract beautiful and docile bees to your garden, essential to the pollination of flowers, fruits and vegetables.

This cosy-looking bee habitat is designed to look like a welcoming home for our friendly solitary bees. The Bees are naturally attracted to the holes in the wood, particularly non-swarming bees such as the Red Mason Bee, Leafcutter Bee and other Solitary Bees. The bees are industrious, beautiful and safe around children and pets.

Featuring stacking trays that you can open for inspection and easy cleaning, this bee house is truly fascinating and great for learning more about our frienly pollinators. The bee hive trays can be seperated and inspected (after bee activity has ceased in Autumn and Winter) to view the formation of small cells where the eggs are laid, or where predators have been active.

Siting:

We recommend situating the Wildlife World Beehive in a sunny position, facing South or South East to catch the morning sun. Simply attach this beehive to a fence or wall by screwing into place using the panel at the back of this solitary bee house (as pictured above), or just place on the ground as ideally this wooden bee home should be mounted at a height of between ground level and 1.5m. Please note that screws are not included.

Maintenance:

Chemical treatments are not required as the habitat is made from durable FSC certified timber. To keep the full bee tubes protected, you can fill them with mesh to prevent predation by woodpeckers
