Windsor Squirrel Starling Proof Fatball Feeder

The Windsor seed feeder with Guardian cage is a durable, great-value metal feeder finished in an attractive dark green. The robust Guardian cage helps protect the food from starlings, adult squirrels, and larger birds*, while still allowing smaller birds to reach the feeding tube inside.

Within the Guardian cage sits a metal feeder that holds up to four standard fat balls, providing ample feeding space for your garden birds.

The lid flips open easily for quick refilling, and the feeder slots neatly back into the Guardian cage. A substantial handle allows you to hang it from a tree, branch, hook, or feeding station.

For thorough cleaning, the feeder can be unscrewed from the base using a screwdriver. Wash with mild detergent mixed with water, using a cleaning brush and bird-safe disinfectant. Ensure the feeder is completely dry before reassembling and refilling.

A note on squirrel protection although this feeder is squirrel and large bird proof we cannot guarantee that the most determined squirrels or large birds won’t get inside of the feeder, particularly juvenile squirrels and birds which are far more agile than the adults.  Birds with particularly long beaks may also be able to access the feeder inside of the guardian. The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.
